POMCO, one of the nation’s largest benefits administrators, is proud to be a corporate sponsor for Lewis County General Hospital’s ninth annual Breast Cancer Awareness Dinner. The event will take place on Tuesday, October 18, at the Lowville Elks Lodge. Motivational speaker T. Marni Vos will be the featured entertainment at this year’s “Anything is Possible with Sparkle and a Little Pink” theme dinner. The Lewis County General Hospital Fund for Hope helps Lewis County cancer patients negate some of the incidental costs; such as gas, lodging, and travel expenses, that are required to be paid out-of-pocket during cancer treatment.
“POMCO is proud to be able to support the outstanding service that Lewis County General Hospital provides to its patients in our community,” said Steven O’Brien, executive director of network development at POMCO. “The Hospital’s innovative research and specialized treatments, and the importance it places on increasing awareness are paramount to the health of our community. POMCO is proud to continue its part by supporting the hospital in its efforts to find a cure and increase awareness for breast cancer.”
Since 2008, the Lewis County General Hospital Fund for Hope has been able to donate $70,179 to help 366 cancer patients with their courageous journey with cancer.
