Past, Present & Future
Pomco's impressive story dates back to 1885 when a graphics pioneer named A. Pomerantz founded a business that was destined to grow in size, reputation and product lines...and continue to grow right into the 21st Century. In 1978, the Graphic Arts division of the business was sold by the Pomerantz family to the then-president of the division. The new company took the name Pomco Graphics and continued its industry-leading position. In 1999, another change occurred -- the company was purchased by an employee management team...changed its name to Pomco Graphic Arts...and positioned itself to take on the challenges of the new millennium.
Today -- as ever -- Pomco Graphic Arts is committed to excellence in three main areas: our products, our process, and our relationships. As a lithographer, engraver and manufacturer of envelopes and custom mailers...as a provider of complete die cutting, multi-level embossing, foil stamping and other specialty services, Pomco puts the requirements of you, the customer, first.
A Trusted Manufacturing Partner
Our longstanding relationships with the nation's top paper mills are testimony to our level of commitment and expertise. For seven decades, companies such as Beckett, I. P., Printing Paper Division, Hammermill, Cranes, Zanders and Weyerhaeuser have depended on Pomco Graphic Arts to produce millions of paper sample books and promotional materials. This paper mastery benefits all of Pomco's clients.
Capturing Your Vision on Paper
Our extensive experience as a multi-faceted graphic arts facility enables us to function as a consulting partner of the graphic designer. We can offer invaluable advice in the graphic design process by utilizing our specialized knowledge of the interplay between different graphic arts processes... typography...special inks and varnishes...various types of print substrates...foil stamping... custom binding...and other lithographic techniques. For this reason, we always recommend that we be brought in early in the process to avoid potential obsticles and to enhance the finished product. As always, our goal is to capture your vision on paper.
Pomco's knowledge, combined with our state-of-the-art facilities, enables customers to feel confident that their designs will spring to life on paper. We strive on a daily basis to match each customer's graphic vision.
